Why these stones are different
The inspiration starts on the beaches of the Great Lakes, where the water sorts the stones for us.
Every stone earns its place — twice.
Out of every ten thousand stones, we choose one.
Tumbling is slow work. Five stages, often repeated, one small batch at a time. Weeks turn into months before a stone is finished — surface ready for touch and reflection.
Then we screen again. Polishing reveals what was hidden — and only some stones earn a place. We keep the ones with presence. The rest go back to the earth.
We compose what remains. Each piece is assembled with intention: variety in color, in shape, in scale.
The result is a collection that's quietly unrepeatable. No two displays will ever be the same — by nature, not by design.
Built to last. Effectively care-free. Reassemble the stones into infinite variations, use them individually, or display them in arrangements of 3s, 5s, or 7s as accents for seasonal styling.
We partner with small stone shops, rockhounds, and community members with hands like ours. Together, we make work that outlasts us made to be passed down for generations.
