Every Lake Superior agate began as a gas pocket in cooling lava, filled over a billion years with bands of iron and quartz, then torn loose by glaciers and left on a cold northern shore. No two carry the same bands. That's why every set here is built around the exact agate pictured — the stone you see is the stone that ships, framed by two companions chosen to let it carry the composition.
