The Solitaire

The Solitaire

A single stone, set alone.

On its own, a tumbled stone is easy to overlook — a nice thing to pick up, then set down somewhere and forget. But set it on a base made to fit it, raise it off the shelf, and something shifts. You start to notice the banding, the way light catches an edge, the small world held inside. The setting doesn't dress the stone up. It just gives you room to look.

Each base is cast by hand for the stone it holds — not a size, that stone. The fit is the whole point: the stone settles in as though the base grew up around it.

Sometimes you find the stone. Sometimes the stone finds you. This one gets to stay.
